Session Expired

Session Expired

Have you ever received a “Session Expired” error message when you’re trying to view some of your favorite Web sites? The “Session Expired” or the “Session Has Expired” error messages have been around for quite some time, so it’s no surprise if you have. They happen to come along whenever you’re visiting a Web site that is maintained mostly by a database, requires log in information or is a secure Web page. So, if those are the types of sites you visit most often, you may see this problem more frequently.

There are several reasons why this could be happening. Below is a list and an explanation of just a few of them. These are the most common though, so you should be able to figure something out from these suggestions. Here we go!

1.) Inactivity: If you log in to a Web site first thing in the morning, everything should be okay. Then, let’s say, you decide to go run a few errands, but you still leave the Web site up on your computer. When you get back, you’re probably going to get a “Session Expired” message. If you leave the site inactive from anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes (depending on the site), the server will automatically time you out of the session.

This, of course, is done for security reasons and to help with the speed of the Web site. All you have to do when you receive that error message is start over and log in again. This will then create a new session for you and you’ll be good to go!

2.) Cookies: There are two items involved with this one that could cause your sessions to expire. First, if you happen to be browsing a site anonymously, your sessions may often fail. Secondly, some sites require the cookies to be enabled and if you don’t have them set that way in your Web browser, you may run into some problems. This one is, luckily, easy to fix. All you need to do is enable your cookies.

To do this in Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options and click on the Privacy tab. Next, click on the Default button. This will set your cookies to the default state, which is right around the middle of the scale. You can see this by looking at the slider bar where each mark explains what every level does, in terms of the cookies on your browser. Click OK when you’re done. In Firefox, go to Tools, Options and click on the Privacy icon. Once there, checkmark the box that says “Allow sites to set cookies.” Then click OK.

3.) Firewall: If you have a firewall set up on your computer, this could cause your sessions to time out before you want them to. Your firewall could be blocking certain sites, which in turn, prohibits any sessions from being established in the first place. Check your firewall settings and just make sure you’re allowing the sites you like to visit to come through. To learn more about setting up firewall settings, etc., read this tip.

4.) Incorrect Date and Time: It’s hard to tell why it happens, but sometimes, the date and time clock on several computers will be misconfigured and it’ll show the wrong information. If your clock is set to a wrong date (month or year) or even a wrong time, your computer will be confused and it may cause your sessions to fail. To check this, double click on the clock icon in your desktop toolbar. Change the time and date so that it reads correctly and then click OK. Next, go and try the site again. You should be up and running with no trouble now!

5.) Other Site Issues: This is for those of you who are only having trouble with one particular Web site. If you’ve tried all of the above suggestions and you’re still having problems, it’s possible that there could be other issues going on with that one site. It could be down for maintenance work or any other number of things. If you think this may be the case, contact the Webmaster or the company and see if they can tell you anything. They should be able to tell you if there’s something else wrong with the site or if it really is you. You could also just wait a day or two to see if the problem resolves itself. There are always other options!

Unfortunately, the “Session Expired” issue is something that lies within a Web site’s server, so there’s not really any special settings you can set on your own computer that will make this problem go away for good. But, you can try all of the above options and at least one of them should take care of all your expiration problems!

Wealthy v Poor Mindset

The following table was published in a book titled “Life’s Greatest Opportunity” written by Virend Singh who teaches the concept of the wealthy mindset. It helps to highlight some of the common cognitive differences between the rich and the poor.

The Wealthy Mindset

The Poor Mindset

Have a delayed gratification mindset, settling for short-term pain for long-term gain. Have an immediate gratification mindset settling for short-term gain for long-term pain.
A wealthy mindset is willing to take risks with the understanding that failure/losing is part of the process of winning. Hence, they are early adapters, taking advantage of a new opportunity before others realise its potential.

The general population avoid risk because of the fear of failure or loss. They wait to see what everybody else is doing, then do the same – by which time it is too late to capitalise on a new opportunity.

Have a positive attitude, using language such as:

  • If others can do it, so can I.
  • I’ll make time.
  • What’s it worth in the long term?
Have a negative attitude, using language such as:

  • I can’t, it’s too hard.
  • I don’t have time.
  • I can’t afford it – it’s too expensive.

Are decisive – They are quick to decide and slow to change their minds. They know that their destinies are shaped in their moments of decision. Indecision leads to in-action, which in turn, leads to unfavourable results.

Are indecisive – they are slow to decide and quick to change their minds because, once they have decided, they start to worry if they have made the right decision. Fear, uncertainty and doubt are inherent in their personality
Seek opportunity. They want to develop, achieve and excel. They do what the majority are unwilling (not unable, just unwilling) to do. They realise that people who play it safe continually miss opportunities and seldom make progress. Seek security. They desire a safe, secure profession / job, but such a thing is virtually non-existent today, and even if it was, it would provide little chance of attaining financial independence.
Take responsibility for their circumstances. They know that “when you choose the behavior, you choose the circumstances”. Hence they create their own circumstances by choosing actions that support their goals. The wealthy mindset attitude is “if it is to be, it’s up to me.” Do not always take responsibility for their circumstances. When things aren’t, as they would like them to be, they sometimes try to justify their situation. Some even blame others – the government, their employer, their teachers, parents/children etc.
Those with a wealthy mindset make it happen. They know that success must be summoned; it won’t come unbidden. They have plans. They can tell you where they are going and how they are going to get there. The general population let it happen. Many have no definite plans for the future or they simply don’t execute their plans, hence they fit into someone else’s plans.
Understand and apply the law of ‘Cause and Effect’ – as you sow, so shall you reap. They know they must give to receive – e.g. one must give respect before they receive respect. One must give value to receive value. They expect to receive value before they will give value.
Mind their own business. They build businesses and use the power of compounding / leverage to earn residual income. Mind somebody else’s business. They work hard for somebody else trading hours for dollars by earning a linear income, paying up to 50% of their income in taxes.
See with their minds what others miss with their eyes, hence recognizing potential where others don’t. See only with their eyes, often missing opportunities for improving their circumstances in life.
Have a sense of urgency. All successful people are driven by sense of urgency to produce results. They tend to procrastinate. They wait until all the conditions are right before taking action.
Have a sense of team and a common purpose. They believe in synergy – combining and sharing the work effort. They do it all themselves, hence they don’t often achieve the big outcomes they aspire to.
Persist until they succeed. Like a child learning to walk, every time they fall down, they get up quickly and keep trying until they get it right. Quit at the first sign of defeat. As soon as they encounter setbacks, they give up. They say, “it’s too hard. It hurts too much. I give up”
They are results orientated and perform activities that produce the results they desire, resulting in a high quality of life. They plan their work and then execute this plan. They are activity orientated, confusing being busy with progress. They are so busy being busy, that they lose sight of what they are trying to accomplish.
Have more money at the end of the month, i.e. they have money left over at the end of the month that they can invest or spend as they wish. They live from pay cheque to pay cheque. More often than not their money runs out before the end of the month.
Focus on ‘quality of life’. They will retire in comfort, maintaining their standard of living and generally enjoying more free time and better then average health. Focus on ‘standard of living’. Some will work their entire life. The majority will find that their standard of living will drop by 40-75%. When they retire they will struggle to make ends meet, depending on welfare or the goodwill of others for their existence.

Do you have the wealthy mindset?

Are you willing to change your mindset so that in the years to come you become one of the top 5%? If so, now is the time to act. Having a wealthy mindset is one thing, acting on it is another.

7 Deadly Sins of Marketing

Avoid Common On-Line Marketing Mistakes by Learning the 7 Deadly Sins of Marketing

You just started Your on-line Business and your excited, so what should you do next? To start with let’s show you what not to do. One of the best pieces of advice we can offer people that are new to the On-Line Marketing Industry is to finish your training and learn to avoid the mistakes that so many marketers have made before you. It is for this reason we have created a list of the most common On-Line Marketing Mistakes made by so many for you to review and the hopefully avoid! – The 7 deadly sins of On-Line Marketing.

On-Line Marketing Mistake #1- Not Completing Your Training

The most common mistake made by On-Line Marketers is to go out and start trying to recruit new members or sell products before they have completed their initial training and as a result normally have little success. As a general rule you wouldn’t jump into the surf if you didn’t know how to swim, so likewise make sure you know how to run your own business before you try and share it with others. Completing your training is an absolute must if you want to become successful in this business. Arguable the most important thing to learn is how to prospect the right way as this is where so many new comers go wrong.

On-Line Marketing Mistake #2 – Taking A Salesperson Approach

The question you should ask yourself before you start prospecting is did you begin your Business to become a salesperson?  For most people the answer is definitely not and there is a fair chance that the people you are trying to share the business with don’t want to become a salesperson either. Therefore we encourage you not to be a salesperson. This again comes down to learning how to prospect the right way.

It is natural for you to be excited when you first start your business, but you should try not to fall into the trap of becoming a salesperson (or telemarketer) where you go and approach all of your friends and family and share with them this fantastic business you’ve just started and tell them how they’d be stupid not to join.

Although we encourage you to approach these people as it can be a great way to help establish your business, the mistake normally comes in the way in which you sell the business opportunity and products. New members who lack experience quite often overwhelm their prospects with too much information and put pressure on them to join their business, normally with little success. It is important to understand that just because people might be your friends or enjoy your presence that doesn’t mean that they trust your business decisions. Learning to prospect the right way from the start makes sense, this will help you to avoid the salesperson stereotypes and improve your conversion rate.

On-Line Marketing Mistake #3 – Pleading With Your Prospects

We’re not kids any more, if you’re serious about creating an On-Line Marketing Business you need to treat your business seriously and take a professional approach. Pleading with prospects to join your company only reduces your credibility and puts doubts in your prospects mind about the business model. End result, the prospect rejects you and your reputation goes downhill fast.

Would Donald Trump plead with someone to join his business? Of course not, in fact quite the opposite, if his prospects weren’t willing to jump at the opportunity he’d move on and so should you. Remember in On-Line Marketing you’re ultimately looking for people to build your business with you, therefore the key is to find the right people not just the willing. If someone turns you down, that’s their bad luck, move on and keep looking.

On-Line Marketing Mistake #4 – Becoming Emotionally Attached

When people first join an On-Line Marketing Company they usually have a few people in mind that they hope will join their business. Although these prospects might be your friends and family it is important that you remain professional and don’t become emotional attached to their decision. Remember just because your friends enjoy your company that doesn’t mean that they trust your business decisions. Just like any other business if you don’t make a sale or win a contract you move onto the next customer, On-Line Marketing should be treated the same.

Think of prospecting like buying a house, a smart investor knows not to get emotionally attached to the houses they look at. On-Line Marketing is no different, a smart marketer understands it’s a numbers game and therefore does not get emotionally attached to their prospects outcomes. For every person that is not interested you are one step closer to the finding someone who is.

On-Line Marketing Mistake #5 – Making False Claims

Never make false claims about your products or your company, it will only come back to bite you. If you don’t know the answer to something, let your prospect know it was a really good question and that you’ll follow it up for them. Direct them to the Professionals in the Live Support Center. Making false claims can get both you and the company into a lot of trouble.

On-Line Marketing Mistake #6 – Bad Mouthing Others

It’s common sense really, although On-Line Marketing can sometimes appear competitive, you do not gain any benefit from bad mouthing other members or other On-Line Marketing companies. Doing so only hurts the reputation of the industry as a whole. The industry itself is designed to be a supportive network, let’s help to keep it that way; there is more than enough money and prospects to go around for all of us.

Additionally if people have had a bad experience in On-Line Marketing previously, identify their concerns and help them to regain the vision. Just because you buy a bad coffee one day that doesn’t mean you should dismiss drinking coffee altogether. The same can be said about On-Line Marketing. If someone has previously had a bad experience, that doesn’t mean they should dismiss the industry altogether, just show them the difference Your Membership provides.

On-Line Marketing Mistake #7 – Not Working Your Business

There is nothing worse in On-Line Marketing than an inactive downline. Now you should always make a commitment to support the members you enroll and stick to it. If you’re not willing to put in the effort to achieve your success, you shouldn’t have joined the business in the first place. Regardless of whether it takes you 2 weeks or 2 years your enroller and the Support Professionals are there to support you. Think about it, if everybody in the Business made at least this commitment it wouldn’t be long before most people would be earning a decent annual income. The problem in On-Line Marketing occurs when new members get knock backs and have no support and give up.

“Our greatest glory consists not in ever falling, but in rising every time we fall.” – Confucius

How many times do you think that you fell over when you were learning to walk? Did that stop you from trying again? No of course not. The reason why you succeeded in learning to walk was because you made a commitment and you where persistent. Making the same commitment in your  Business will ensure your success, you deserve it!

“Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence” – Colin Powell

On-Line Marketing is a relatively simple business, however committing any of the 7 deadly sins only makes it harder. The single best thing you can do when you get started in On-Line Marketing is to complete your initial training and invest some time towards learning how to prospect the right way. Practice makes perfect. Once you feel competent that you know what you’re doing use the experience of the Support Professionals to help you start your marketing and to gain confidence and experience. This in turn will help you to help your enrollee’s to do the same.

If you are guilty of one of these common On-Line Marketing Mistakes, don’t despair most Marketers are, everybody makes mistakes. Identify what you did wrong and learn from it. If your having difficulty establishing your business please take the time to attend Webcasts and visit the Live Support Center, hopefully we will give you the fresh prospective that you need to succeed.

Now that we have identified common On-Line Marketing Mistakes and what not to do, let’s focus on the positive and show you how to run your business the right way. If you haven’t already, take the time to set your GOALS and then spend some time working with your enroller or one of the many Support Professionals.

Virtual Memory

Q:
Can you please tell me what virtual memory is? I’m having a hard time understanding it. Thank you!

A:  Well, don’t feel too bad. I don’t think you’re the only one who is a bit confused by the term “virtual memory.” I have been getting e-mails left and right lately about this very thing, so I figured it was about time I did something about it. We’re just going to go slow today with a brief definition of the term and a few examples. Okay, here we go!

Basically, virtual memory is non-physical memory (yeah, that helps, huh?!)

More so, Windows uses virtual memory when it doesn’t have enough “regular” physical memory to perform a certain task. When it has to resort to that, Windows uses your hard drive to store information that would normally be put into your RAM memory. Here’s a simplified example:

Let’s say you have 32 MB of RAM available on your computer. Now, you load a program that takes up 20 MB and another that takes up 22 MB. For those two programs, you would need a total of 42 MB, but you only have 32 MB of actual RAM memory. However, both programs still run. What’s happening?

Well, Windows is using 10 MB of your hard drive space to supplement your physical 32 MB of RAM (don’t worry, that 10 MB will be erased once Windows is done with it).

Now, I know what you’re probably thinking. Why bother adding extra RAM to your computer if it can use hard drive space instead? Well, the main reason is, RAM is much faster!

Whenever you’re using a lot of virtual memory, you’re slowing your computer down (way down). The best work around for that is to get more physical memory. I recommend 64 to 128 MB, depending on how many programs you usually run on your computer, simultaneously.

Oh, and one more thing: If you don’t have a lot of hard drive space left (I recommend a minimum of 100 MB) and you’re experiencing a lot of problems, the lack of virtual memory may be why. When Windows runs out of memory (virtual and non-virtual), it just doesn’t run all that well. Alright, well, I hope this tip has helped all of you in understanding virtual memory a little bit better. Let me know if you have any other questions about it!

Page 1 – Getting Started

What is HTML ? HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language.
HTML is nothing more than computer language,
when used properly a Web Page can be created.

HTML Structure Tags

These structure tags are used in every
HTML document that you will create.
This group of tags defines a documents structure.
These tags are always used in pairs.

One such way is with Headings.
These tags should only be use to alter
the text size of headings only.
The heading tags will also make the text bold.
These tags are used in pairs.

Paragraph And Text Breaks

There are two types of text breaks.
That will break the text to the next line.

First is text break tag <BR>
This will break the text to the very next line.
This can also be used to break an image
to the next line. The <BR> can
be used as many times as you like
to get the desired spacing between items.

Then there is a paragraph break tag <P>
This will start the text onto a new paragraph
or create a single blank line between items.
Note: this tag can only be used once
between items.

Adding Text Color

To add color to your text you will need
to add a new tag to the font tag.
